Organised to deal with foreign clients
Most French mortgage brokers will work with one or two banks who are specialised in non-resident clients. These are mainly the larger brokers so make sure that you are getting the best solution for your project. These banks could be the solution for your French mortgage however we will try and find you a better deal as the specialised banks will normally charge higher margins and fees.
The best French mortgage rates are normally given by the high street banks but they are not usually use to dealing with foreign clients. We have a very good relation with the local banks as we also help french clients find mortgages in France. Mortgages on French property are very different to those in other countries. French mortgage lenders require quiet substantial paperwork. We try and make this process as easy as possible for you.

Before you accept a mortgage offer we will make sure you are informed of all the costs and fees related to the mortgage.
We don’t charge any fees directly to our clients (except for bridging loans and in very special cases) as we are paid by the banks direct.You will also find that Gary can give you advice on any questions you may have related to the property you are buying, plus any construction or renovation issues.
Why use a broker for your French mortgage ?
The French lending market changes constantly. The banks change their rules and conditions almost every month. The criteria for French mortgages is totally different to the UK and other countries. To start the banking offers differ from one region to another, they are therefore based on the area, the property you are buying, and mainly on your taxable income. Going to the banks directly can be very time consuming and disappointing even with a good profil. As brokers we are in permanente contact with the market and the banks offers and can save you a lot of time. In a majority of cases brokers don't charge any fees as most banks in France pay the brokers a commission which covers their fees. Another good reason to use a specialised non resident broker like GL Finance is we are fluent in both languages, finance both french and non resident clients (larger offer) and in most banks we have a privileged contact in the bank who we have been working with for a number of years.
